A walk in the sun.
Lewis has been obsessed with Horrible Histories for the last few days, and has managed to learn all of the kings and queens of England from listening to one of their songs. He has always been fascinated with castles, so we decided to take a walk round the town's Elizabethan walls. I have walked round these walls since I was a little girl, and its nice to be able to walk round with Lewis and Fin. I suppose I never notice anymore how interesting the wlls actually are, as I see them every day, but in the three years that we lived out of town I never noticed how much I missed seeing them. You do take things for granted, and as the song goes, "Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got til its gone".

Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteMatt and I really enjoyed walking around the walls last time I was back (sept 09).
We also enjoyed heading to Bamburgh castle, Alnwick castle, St Cuthbert's Cove etc. It was nice to be around 'history' again ;)
