Out and About

We have been making the most of the last few sunny days here ooop north. The weather is beginning to change, and the air is starting to turn. You can smell it in the morning, it seems more fresh, more "earthy", more "end of year". This is my favourite time of year, the time where I feel more comfortable, more myself. I look forward to wrapping up in woolies, snuggling down indoors whilst the wind bite outside. I adore the changing of the trees, and the ripening of the berries. I feel more at one with the earth when I am more exposed to the raw elements, and the wild weather matches the dark side of myself, the wild side. I would be terrible living in a hot country!

Waiting patiently for these to turn so we can make cordial to see us through thee winter months...

Not sure what this is, but I think it is beautiful...

  2. Lovely, lovely pics. Fond memories of England, its not so bad in the hot climates though, even here at 40 degrees the season is lulling into Autumn, just in a more dramatic way xx

  3. Beautiful pictures. That plant you are unsure of is crocosmia, it has a lovely colour and structure doesn't it. We have some in our garden and it has flowered for the first time this year, I was so pleased!
