Exciting parcel from the postman!

How exciting! I arrived home yesterday to find a lovely brown paper wrapped parcel on the back doorstep, covered in daisy stickers from Daisychainbaby .My mama pack had arrived! Now, a while ago I recieved a bounty pack from the midwife. I thought they were crap when I had Lewis (and this was way before I knew better!), and 7 years on they are actually worse!!! A lot of shiny paper promoting chemically enhanced rubbish which I wouldn't use on myself let alone a tiny baby, and....wait for it.....ONE PACK OF HUGGIES WIPES. Thanks NHS. Marvellous job you are doing there. What exactly is the point of giving pregnant women this rubbish? Why waste resources producing it? Why? Why?
Anyway, back to my lovely mama pack. I was so excited about it that I took photos...

Best of all, I got some soap nuts! I have wanted to use them for ages, kept picking them up in the shop, ummming and ahhhing then aying, next time I'll get them, not knowing if they would be any good for me and my outdoor living family, but WOW they are AMAZING!!!! Why did I not get some ages ago?! Some of those used with a few drops of lavender oil, and my bedsheets are so soft and lovely smelling! I would definately recommend them, and at the weekend I shall be taking myself back to the shop to buy a big bag of them. And some more lavender oil, maybe geranium too :)

  1. How fantastic is that pack! I wish I had had one of those when I was pregnant! I use or have used a lot of these bits and bobs. I love the Weleda Calendula, its such a great multi purpose ointment, I still use it. Soap nuts are fab too, my mum introduced me to them a year or so back, they work so much better than you'd think to look at them, and also they make a great surface cleaner too. I would try adding geranium oil. I love the smell of it, I burn it all the time, its so uplifting!

  2. Oohhh yes Ive been using soapnuts for almost 4years now. We have very hard water here, so it helps to soften that a little.

And that is one lovely mama pack :-)
